The Seabotix ROV can dive to 150 meters’ depth, which is enough for most tasks.
Its 2 powerful lights, with 6 variable settings, makes it able to operate in dark water.
Its 4 powerful propellers, makes it easy to manoeuvre, and its small size, makes it ideal for inspections in confined spaces. Perfect for pipe and tank inspections.
The contact between the vehicle and surface, is through a fiber optic cable. This combined with a good camera, makes some fantastic recordings.
It is strong and robust, but still only weighs 12 kg. This means it can be launched by hand. It can operate in up to 0.5 knots current.
It is equipped with a Micron sonar, and can be fitted with a transponder for a USBL system.
The Seabotix is very useful when we need to work in confined space, where there is no current and for inspection of small vessels.
It is possible to launch and recover it by hand.
