Remotely Operated Vehicle - ROV
ROV is an unmanned submersible (underwater vessels) controlled from the surface, and connected by an umbilical or tether (cable), to a control console.
It can have many different kinds of equipment and tools, such as: video, camera for still-photo, light, manipulators, sonar and compass.
The ROV is an expensive piece of equipment, The price will depend upon what setup the ROV is equipped with, how big and how much advanced technique is needed.
The ROV is highly manoeuvrable, and requires only a technician / pilot and usually one other person (staff or science crew) for deck or rig operations. It has extraordinary portability that makes it easy to transport anywhere in any kind of vehicle or vessel.
